Job Summary:
This position will manage the design and oversight of a Global Financial Crimes Compliance and Awareness Training Standard and Program, spanning the worldwide operations of the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ. Ongoing responsibilities will include providing designing training program structure and governance, review and approval of training courses, and collaboration with global compliance staff in the execution of local and regional sanctions compliance training courses in line with the standard set forth by the Global Financial Crimes Division.
Major Responsibilities:
• Assist the Head of Global Financial Crimes Compliance Training in developing and overseeing global standards for the global sanctions compliance training program.
• Liaise with and oversee training course implementation by Global Financial Crimes Division (GFCD), regional and local compliance staff world-wide to ensure the effective execution of the global OFAC sanctions training program against established standards and schedules.
• Maintain appropriate documented standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide management reporting on training results, and ensure proper escalation and handling of identified gaps or concerns.
• Participate in global financial crimes working groups and project initiatives.
• Support general compliance training activities and other duties, including special projects, as assigned.
• Oversee a global staff of 15-18 personnel.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 10 years of experience working in compliance risk management or similar capacity, preferably at a large US-based or foreign-based banking organization or US regulatory agency.
• Experience in designing, developing and delivering sanctions compliance training courses and executing training programs.
• Deep understanding of global economic sanctions/anti-money laundering/anti-bribery and corruption laws and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of management; prior experience working directly with regulatory examination staff a plus.
• B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent required; relevant professional certifications such as ACAMS or CRCM preferred.
