Job Summary
The Data Management and Standards Business Analyst is responsible for defining the overall reference data governance strategy, creating standards, and establishing frameworks to govern and manage reference data. The candidate is also responsible for ensuring compliance with Chief Data Office (CDO) reference data standards and data policy across data domains and lines of business, as well as identifying and escalating compliance gaps to senior management and Data Management Committee. The candidate will also work with the lines of business to establish a strategy for adoption of standards firmwide.
Primary Job Responsibilities
• Produce regular reports of progress/deliverables against data standardization goals and success criteria
• Communicate through appropriate channels to promote the data standard and encourage a culture of valuing information assets, to educate users about data standardization
• Develop a data standardization roadmap as part of the Data Policy implementation
• Ensure that data standardization activities fit with the overall data governance strategy
• Build data standardization capability within the organization.
• Promote Data Standards artifacts (standards, data models, reference data, etc) throughout the business
• Lead and work with business stakeholders across customer-facing operations globally, to implement and maintain data standards & implementation.
• Provide SME guidance and support to the Business on data standards and implementation.
• Establish processes to measure and monitor data standards and compliance
• Implement processes to raise and resolve data standards issues
• Track and prioritize all data standardization initiatives
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and minimum 6+ years of recent demonstrated knowledge and direct work experience in leading and project managing large complex initiatives that cross company business lines
• Experience with Data Standards development, implementation and Data Governance
• Minimum 4+ years relevant consulting and/or industry and functional experience in Banking or Financial Services
• Requires strong executive-level communications, presentations and problem-solving skills, ability to work with and influence various stakeholders, manage multiple changing priorities and processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Project and Excel skills
