The Role
As the Director, Relationship Management, you will provide leadership and direction to a team of 10 which includes Account Managers and National Account Managers supporting Lincoln’s Southern Region. The Southern Region is composed of sales offices located in Atlanta, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Nashville, Houston, Omaha, and Kansas City. You will be responsible for the development, maintenance and execution of complex and robust client relationship management programs/plans which ensure that the clients overall service needs are satisfied and our overall customer growth, retention and profitability objectives are attained.
Responsibilities
• Establish strong relationships with field and home office partners; serve as the liaison for operational improvements and efficiencies; Drive transparency by providing feedback from customers.
• Collaborates and recommends to management the organizational design of his/her assigned area(s) which ensure optimal clients retention, satisfaction and achieve desired business results while reducing risks.
• Developing, maintaining, & executing complex & robust client relationship management programs/plans which ensure that the clients overall service needs are satisfied and our overall customer growth, retention and profitability objectives are attained.
• Develops and manages the budget for his/her assigned area(s).
• Collaborates with field partners to drive new business growth in alignment with regional goals; actively participates, as appropriate, in new business acquisition (such as best & finalist presentations); Represents Account Management in Regional market.
• Regularly communicates the LFG Group Protection value proposition with team and customers; provides regular updates on enhanced services provided; shares updates going on across the enterprise with team on a regular basis.
• Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
• Directs and oversees the management of assigned area(s) relationships with existing clients by developing, executing and ensuring proactive, creative, and ongoing client contact initiatives.
• May participate in industry and/or trade organizations to obtain competitor information, industry trends and/or best practices.
• Reviews and analyzes relationship metrics/dashboards to determine effectiveness of relationship management activities.
• Serves as a subject matter expert and advises management and internal/external stakeholders on complex relationship management solutions which optimize client retention and satisfaction and achieve desired business results while reducing risks.
Education & Experience
• Preferred experience in customer facing role(s) in group benefits industry (employer sponsored group products – Life, disability, absence, accident, critical illness, dental)
• 7+ Years experience in relationship management that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position, including 3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience(Required)
• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
Certifications
• Group Life & Health License required.
