The Project Associate will identify opportunities for future improvements while working with subject matter experts and initiative owners to help implement such process improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITIVE PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Purpose:
Develop, and execute business process improvement projects.
1. Assess and map current processes and provide recommendations/steps to process improvements
• Identify processes that require efficiency assessment
• Map current processes and identify gaps present between current processes and future state recommendations
• Support initiative/project owners in gathering information and assist in establishing project documents, E.g.: Business Requirement Documents, Process maps, project plans
• Identify and highlight emerging issues that merit further investigation by leadership and/or initiative/project owners.
• Consider business objectives when identifying process improvements.
• Provide recommendations on prioritization of process improvements in line with business objectives.
2. Facilitate interactions at different levels of the organization
• Develop key reporting materials and assist with preparation for meetings with stakeholders
• Conduct stakeholder interviews as required
• Prepare appropriate presentation documents and/or reports as required.
• Lead regular meetings providing status updates with initiative owners.
• Facilitate completion of ad hoc requests of leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Document results of meetings and track completion of action items.
3. Track progress and ensure completion of project initiatives
• Monitor the results of improvement projects and compose reports.
• Help monitor progress to date, key issues, milestone changes and project timelines.
• Where deemed appropriate, utilize escalation channels to ensure roadblocks and/or issues are resolved.
4. Identify risks associated with initiatives, current process and process recommended changes
• Identify and evaluate key risk areas and recommend improvements.
• Assist owners in developing a mitigation plans.
• Liaise with legal, compliance and other departments as needed to share risks and mitigation plans associated with projects.
• Address any actionable items as a result of risk/mitigation plan review.
Other duties include:
• Managing process change
• Leading process redesign workshops
• Educating business users responsible for managing and operating business processes
• Monitoring, measuring and providing feedback on process performance
• Facilitating process workshops that involve eliciting process requirements and liaising with users
Qualifications
Education and required skills
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, Business Administration or equivalent
Experience:
• 2-5 years’ experience preferably in process improvement, management consulting or strategy role
• Track record of analyzing data and/or processes, identifying improvement opportunities and successfully delivering results
• Knowledge and good understanding of financial reporting
• Working knowledge and experience in Contact Centers is a plus

• Ability to draw inferences from process details
• Skill and ability to structure a large amount of information in a process framework
• Leadership, proactivity, planning, and organization skills
• Multi-tasking with attention to detail
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written
• Highly motivated team player
• Ability to proactively assess project status and highlight issues
• Experience in defining standard operations procedure documents is a plus
• Knowledgeable of relevant software skills (e.g., Microsoft: Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must be able to see the big picture, understand project objectives and be able to apply their understanding of how processes should work to operational improvement initiatives.
• Willingness to travel (up to 40%)
