Job Purpose:
The Licensing Specialist holds responsibility to ensure internal and external individuals and entities are in compliance with all applicable state and federal licensing, appointment and securities regulations. Incumbents are coordinating, completing, and monitoring the professional licensing, appointment and registration process for a variety of audiences such as field, home office, and credit union employees, as well as multiple entities within CUNA Mutual Group, and credit unions.
Specialist
Possesses detailed knowledge and/or skill on a particular subject or activity. Their talents are devoted to a particular business focus and they provide guidance, technical leadership, and training to less experienced staff. Develops and implements solutions that align with key business strategies and initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:

• Make decisions around and process licensing, registration and appointment activities based on the customer request and in accordance to business and regulatory rules
• Communicate with internal and external customers, business partners and regulatory bodies, providing options and taking the necessary action
• Conduct research on files that require in-depth study and analysis
• Serve as licensing and registration resource for internal departments of the organization
• Provide appropriate training
• Maintain appropriate databases ensuring accuracy and timeliness of filings; understand impact of data with other CMG systems
Job Requirements:
• Associates Degree or applicable experience
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of Securities industry
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills related to complex contract changes, calculations, and research
• Ability to effectively use computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Solid problem solving, communication, and organization skills
• Life and Health Insurance Licenses, Property and Casualty Insurance Licenses, and/or FINRA Registrations preferred.
