Job Description:
Responsible for coordinating with a global team to formulate succinct and compelling written messaging for a wide variety of business development needs. Our company is an integrated global platform which provides seamless, beginning to end corporate services solutions such as real estate account management, transaction management, consulting, program management, and facility management to clients on an international scale. Responsibilities include a variety of projects such as written responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), the development of case studies, value propositions, white papers related to operations and workplace consulting, brochure content, web content, and other specialized materials required to support initiatives.
Essential Job Duties:
• Develop materials to include writing/compiling required information for final submittals to be completed in a timely, efficient manner, and to meet deadlines.
• Meet with senior-level professionals and subject matter experts to both generate customized content and organize appropriate existing content into a compelling business case or proposal for each opportunity.
• Collaborate with a wide variety of internal marketing resources and develop processes and procedures for the effective communication of the company brand.
• Compose and edit materials for all new business pursuits, including presentations, proposals, research papers, and business correspondence
• Management of the proposal development process to include evaluating requirements, acquiring content from subject matter experts and team members, formulating clear, succinct and effective responses, and complying with all solicitation requirements.
• Work collaboratively with global teams, internal departments and service line leaders, locally and remotely to produce coherent, concise, and effective communication deliverables.
• Perform advanced document formatting consistent with branding standards.
• Maintain database of best-in-class responses and templates.
• Record and track all ongoing activity in cooperation with global marketing teams.
• Knowledge of commercial real estate and corporate portfolio advisory issues on a national and global basis.
Skills, Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English or related concentration
• Master’s degree a plus
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience direct business development experience for a consulting or real estate firm or related field preferred
• Experience working in commercial real estate or client-service industry preferred
• Expert in MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat.
• Proactive, creative thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to develop compelling – and, in particular, succinct – messaging that reflects the client’s specific, stated requirements as well as what indicates the realities of their industry or competitive environment. In other words, limiting the cookie cutter, non-differentiating response.
• Capacity to absorb complex industry concepts and respond appropriately and effectively as it relates to client stated requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and prioritize workload
• Ability to work in a team environment while also have capacity to be independently motivated and a self-starter
• Demonstrated ability to balance short-term, deadline oriented assignments and long-term, ongoing projects
• Ability to work with technical as well as creative teams
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• May perform other duties as assigned
