Document Custody Service Representative
Position Summary:
• Receive requests for Subordinations, Partial Releases, Oil Gas Minerals, Easements, Mortgage Corrections, Manufactured Home / Vehicle Titling, UCC, NY CEMA and Co-Operative Release.
• Review requests to ensure company and investor guidelines are met.
• Process lien release requests for paid in full loans on Manufactured Housing/Vehicle.
• Review exceptions cited on reports to clear mortgage releases by reviewing county websites and imaging.
• Request documentation from the customer or authorized third party required to complete request.
• Submit requests to management or QC level for approval.
• Draft documents meeting the recording criteria of county and state guidelines.
Essential Functions/Specific Duties:
• Review and evaluate received requests.
• Review survey maps, legal descriptions, appraisals, and tax assessment information as necessary.
• Work with customers and third party companies to obtain required documentation.
• Handle inbound and outbound phone calls as required.
• Draft agreements for execution and recording.
• Complete DMV paperwork required for titling of manufactured homes and / or vehicles.
• Submit recommendations for approval or denial to management.
• Any other job responsibilities requested by management.
Qualifications/Job Requirements:
• Education: High School education preferred.
• Experience: 3 – 5 years’ experience in mortgage servicing and / or originations. Strong knowledge of mortgage documents and prior subordination or mortgage amendments experience preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Superb analytical skills
• PC literate including familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel and Access), Outlook, Lotus Notes and AS400
• Self-starter who is able to work under pressure
• Knowledge of company guidelines and operating procedures

• Ability to work individually or in a team environment
• Be accountable for work and actions
Conditions of Work:
• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Ability to remain on the phone for long periods of time
• Use of a computer for long periods of time, including typing and viewing monitor
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to meet department attendance standards
• Ability to work overtime, if necessary
