Position Description
Location: Austin or New York
Over the past 24+ months, PIMCO has undergone significant change in the realm of digital readiness. As part of a global digital transformation initiative spearheaded by Technology and Marketing, PIMCO has built the stage to enable personalized client centric experiences. The firm is seeking an experienced digital marketing automation professional to lead the strategy and execution of PIMCO’s marketing automation programs. This key position will be responsible for developing integrated campaigns and programs that drive engagement and scale for our business and data-driven experiences across our global footprint. This team leader to oversee our marketing automation programs and email efforts globally including development and implementation of a best in class automation framework to service clients, nurture leads and maximize cross and up sell opportunities.
Responsibilities
• Drive the overall email and marketing automation strategy for PIMCO
• Work closely with the marketing stakeholders on an email and digital marketing roadmap that delivers on the strategy in all the countries in which we do business
• Develop outcome oriented campaigns
• Supervise and oversee the email and marketing automation team & programs and lead the transformation of the digital client experience in this area
• Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to understand the customer data and relevant ‘interests’ to optimize customer segmentation and outcomes
• Troubleshoot issues and with regional email marketing resources and channel teams
• Create audience segmentation for maximum reach and ROI
• Perform database management, reporting and contact maintenance
• Define and run multivariate testing framework and optimizes campaigns
• Collaborate with global partners to ensure a coordinated effort and approach is taken with automation initiatives
• Assess data quality and underlying architecture and subscription systems and recommend future state operating model
• Guide, educate and collaborate with global marketing teams to ensure we maximize our investments in this space and across teams
Position Requirements
• 8+ experience with marketing automation platforms (Marketo strong advantage)
• Experience executing complex campaigns where email is often one component of a multi-pronged marketing strategy
• Strong understanding of email and database marketing infrastructures & technologies
• Knowledge of core technologies, including HTML, CSS, web activity reporting and marketing architecture.
• Experience leading the development, testing and implementation of automated and event triggered email programs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and keep projects on time
• Strong strategic, analytical, problem solving and project management abilities
• Experience with CRM (Microsoft Dynamics strong advantage)
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail a must
• Familiarity with regional anti-spam regulations
• Knowledge of modern email best practices
• Experience with a lead nurturing and lead management programs
• Strong drive to harness technology in practical ways to grow business through digital channels
• Experience with writing for emails a plus
• Marketo Certified Expert a plus
