Payment Analysis Representative

Essential Functions
• Gather information to resolve payment-related issues that failed lockbox association
• Communicate and/or mail correspondences to internal and external customers (e.g. Homeowners/Real Estate agents/outside sales force) to resolve any pending payment issues and update contracts
• Contact customers to resolve contract issues and delinquencies caused by declined credit card transactions, cc disputes and returned payments to ensure collection of outstanding balances
• Assist the Inside/Outside Sales team with escalated research items, inquires and other payment issues that require minor troubleshooting
• Evaluate and process contract cancellation refunds in accordance to state guidelines
• Process contract renewal premium receivables through credit card payment invoices
• Maintain current understanding of all related internal systems and processes while adhering to internal and external audit controls/ accounting policies
Job Complexities
• Uses established procedures to perform assigned tasks
• Work is routine and instructions are usually detailed
Supervision Received or Extended
• No responsibility for supervision of others
• Work under close supervision. A sample of work is reviewed to confirm accuracy
• Complex invoice issues are generally forwarded to Payment Analysis Sr. rep, Team Lead or Supervisor for advice
Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used
• Good listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Good customer service skills
• Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize and follow up
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Typical Education
• High School Diploma
Typical Range of Experience
• Typically has 1-2 years in a fast paced call center environment
