LPL is currently seeking an Assistant Vice President to join Marketing department. This role will be responsible for creating, developing and executing the marketing strategies and activities required to support the firm’s strategic initiatives. This role will work closely with the creative team and with stakeholders across the company to create original marketing campaigns and collateral that will drive sales, organic growth and retention among the firm’s 15,000 financial advisors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and is a creative thinker with excellent writing skills and a firm understanding of message and narrative development. This individual will demonstrate a passion for excellence combined with agility, innovation, resourcefulness, and positive thinking.
Responsibilities include:
• •Developing and managing comprehensive marketing campaigns and programs.
• •Communicating complex investment and business concepts to our advisors and their clients with easily understandable language in an engaging format.
• •Project managing all marketing activities from ideation to execution. This includes the creation of project milestones, developing communication plans, managing data, and updating project members and executives on progress.
• •Composing marketing collateral, white papers and presentations for internal and external use.
• •Managing senior level relationships across the entire firm and consulting with business leaders to determine the optimal mix of marketing activities to support their goals and objectives. Prioritize projects across business units and maintain regular proactive communications about their execution and progress.
• •Formulating various data points to effectively define program progress and success metrics. Role would be responsible for sharing and presenting this information to internal and external constituents.
• •Managing and developing a multi-tiered team of marketing professionals. Role will educate and guide team in regards to marketing strategy, content creation and campaign execution.
Qualifications:
• •Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, PR or related discipline
• •Minimum of 5-7 years of extensive marketing, PR and/or communications experience
• •Experience with coordinating and aligning teams to reach a unified goal
• •Highly organized individual with experience managing large-scale projects
• •Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
• •Outstanding writing and editing skills (e.g. articles, brochures, and white papers)
• •Proven ability to manage, lead and motivate teams of varying experience, knowledge and skillsets
• •Excellent communications skills
• •Self-starter: must be a thought-leader, strategic thinker, and have the drive to win as a team.
• •Grace under pressure and a sense of humor
