We are currently seeking a Senior Vice President to join our Public Institutions Group.
About Public Institutions: Jones Lang LaSalle’s Public Institutions group identifies and implements strategies that allow public sector organizations to fully leverage their real property in close alignment with their organizational missions. Projects vary greatly in subject and complexity - the group’s areas of expertise include:
• Real estate strategy across all product types
• Financial and strategic feasibility analysis
• Transaction Management (Acquisitions/Dispositions)
• Development advisory and oversight, including large-scale, mixed-used development
• Asset and portfolio management
• Analysis of financing / ownership structures
• Highest and best use studies
• Master planning
Responsibilities:
• Advise on all aspects of large-scale public sector projects, including property management, development, construction, finance and legal document review
• Provide leadership for the development and implementation of special projects, new initiatives and innovations based on the key strategic goals for JLL and client
• Identify opportunities to extend contract relationships with clients (e.g., expanding portfolios under management, extending range of services, extending contract term, renewal strategies)
• Perform complex real estate financial analysis across deal-structures
• Provide sophisticated decision tools that will allow clients to optimize their real estate portfolios
• Prepare presentations, requests for qualifications proposals, and financial reports for clients of the firm
• Review and analyze legal documents, financial reports, and operating plans as part of the due diligence process, negotiations or ongoing portfolio management
• Pursue new business and identify areas for growth in conjunction with the firm’s national Public Institution’s leadership team and local markets personnel
• Proactively manage execution of client engagements to ensure excellence, consistency and profitability
• Assist in efforts to leverage insights, collaboration and delivery to ensure that we are the industry leader in product innovation
• Develop internal network to source new business opportunities in partnership with other business units to assist in achieving firm-wide objectives
• Effectively lead staff by clearly communicating expectations, accountabilities and providing performance feedback for continuous improvement
• Mentor, develop and train peer and direct report team members
• Any and all other duties and tasks assigned
Qualifications:
• 15+ years real estate and/or finance experience
• Advanced degree required; concentrations in Government, Finance and/or Accounting preferred
• Mastery of valuation techniques and development and/or business modelling
• Revenue management > $1.5M through multiple accounts and expense management; Overall P&L responsibility preferred
• Understanding and capability to lead negotiation of legal and business terms (commercial and financial)
• Evidence of successful management and advancement of direct reports
