Summary
Responsibility for leading TSYS’ Integrated Payments Business Development team to deliver sustainable revenue growth for our business unit through the prospecting, signing and launching of impactful new channel partners. Our Integrated Payments Business Unit focuses on signing business management software providers with the intention of embedding our payments solution into their solution and going to market jointly to sign up their user base as clients of TSYS’ secure payments processing solutions. The Business Development organization is the primary team that wins TSYS new software providers as TSYS partners through one of four partner models: referral, agent, ISO and payment facilitator.
Responsibilities
• Manage talent across the business development organization to ensure high performance as measured by new accounts and revenue from new partners
• Understand TSYS’ target market verticals, market opportunities and drive the team to execute on a vertically driven strategy
• Prioritize and engage on large or strategic opportunities in the pipeline to ensure our effectiveness with the most critical prospects
• Lead our tradeshow strategy to ensure quality prospects see TSYS in their market
• Work with our internal Marketing team to ensure every opportunity to improve inbound lead quality is pursued
• Represent the BD organization internally to the leadership team through weekly/monthly and YTD performance reports and track overall impact on the business unit
• Ensure the team has the tools they need to succeed and the training to speak competently about TSYS and our embedded technologies and partner models
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales management, preferably in partner/channel development or other long cycle sales environment
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the merchant services industry, integrated payments experience a plus
• Proven impact player, highly self-motivated, who understands the payment processing industry
• Experienced in business to business communication and C-level sales
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master of Business Administration (MBA) a plus
• Ability to embrace software applications and be proficient in standard business/Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
