Description
Prudential is seeking a Director of IT Planning & Analysis to lead a team of service delivery engineers in driving the Technology Innovation & Support Services strategy and ensuring the delivery of the desired service experiences from our El Paso Technology Innovation & Support Services team with a strong focus on CloudOps, DevOps, Information Security, ITSM, Campus Support and Infrastructure functions.
In this role you will be responsible for key components of several moderate to complex technology relationships delivered via managed service delivery models. You will consult directly with management on all phases of solution implementation to ensure adherence to standards, identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans, integrate technology associated with managed services and/or Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery models. This role requires understanding of the end-to-end Software development technology stack, IT Service Management frameworks and Production Operations. The specific responsibilities will vary from project to project, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
Responsibilities:
• Technical leadership in system integration and promote best practices in this area
• Collaborate with technology providers, client management and product management to drive solutions and outcomes that focus on an enriched customer experience
• Engage with technical teams during the software development life cycle with a strong focus on automation, security and operational quality
• Work independently on multiple projects simultaneously, with guidance in only the most complex situations
• Inspire team and lead technical research and evaluation initiatives
• Contribute to the growth and financial viability of the managed services by continually developing our service portfolio and talent
• Provide knowledge and support in conjunction with senior leadership to assist in strategic planning
• Keep up-to-date on information and technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance
• Establish brand, service offerings and messaging for IT Support and Consulting services
• Vendor Management with third parties that support department
Qualifications
• Minimum of ten years of experience in a managed services leadership role, leading IT initiatives and in support of complex software infrastructure technologies in various server environments
• Five years of experience in project budgeting, resource allocation, tracking, reporting, risk mitigation, IT cost models and estimation processes
• Demonstrated skills/experience with success in managing high volume, service oriented IT project portfolios, systems and strategic planning
• Effective leadership, relationship building and consultation skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross functional teams and with a demonstrated record of developing, managing and inspiring a team of direct reports
• Strong strategy development, analytics, negotiation, interpersonal, written, verbal and motivational skills
• Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills
• Domain expertise in IT Infrastructure, IT Service Management, Information Security, Continuous Delivery and Automation
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with remote teams
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
