Position Overview

The Cash Management Manager will be responsible for the supervisory oversight of the Treasury Operations Wireroom. Core responsibilities will include ensuring the safe and secure processing of payment transactions, relationship of internal and external stakeholders (not sure what you mean here), and the enforcement of operational controls. The candidate will provide leadership and direction to the staff to ensure all functions completed in a timely manner while in accordance with regulatory and corporate compliance guidelines. The Cash Management Manager will also be responsible to lead enterprise projects and review new products, services and applications related to the Wireroom.
Responsibilities include:
• Supervisory oversight of the local Treasury Operations wireroom.
• Processing of cash payments and receipts via wires (both manual and automated), ACH, and limited check payments in support of the firm's business lines.
• Settlement of securities transactions/transfers.
• Managing and safeguarding payment instructions received from business areas which includes receipt, authentication, entry and verification.
• Works closely with business partners to forecast cash needs and liquidity requirements.
• Daily balancing/reconciling with banks and clearing firms along with same-day corrections, additions, DKs and deletions, availability of collateral for pledging, coordination of clearance/processing activities for repo, reverse repo and bond transactions.
• Support for ownership of corporate bank accounts, review of all new bank account opening request, and management of authorized payment limits for outgoing payments.
• Providing operational support for the clearance of OFAC/AML payment alerts
• Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies and departmental procedures that affect cash and security operations that have company-wide effects.
• Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives for such things as fraud prevention, process resiliency, and new products/transactions
• Often will be responsible for taking the lead role in project delivery
• Manages and provides operational support for technology testing and change implementation
• Ensures superior customer support is provided to both internal and external business stakeholders
Qualifications
• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience with 2+ years of management experience
• College Degree and/or equivalent experience
• Understanding of Treasury Services, Cash Management and Banking Services including investment instruments, rules, regulations, compliance and related risk
• Understanding of the Federal Reserve payment systems
• OFAC (Office of Foreign Asset and Control) knowledge
• Management of internal and external audit requests
• Demonstrated strong data and analytical skills
• Prior risk and controls oversight experience
• Must be able to travel to the Virginia office periodically as needed for training and other business needs
