Job Description
SUMMARY: This position primarily analyzes reports and certificates received from borrowers and third parties, in order to assess appropriate levels of borrowing for commercial loans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
• Maintains physical possession of original warehousing mortgages and floor plan titles.
• Analyzes borrowing base certificates in comparison to trade asset reports from borrowers to assess appropriate levels of borrowing under revolving lines of credit.
• Values various types of collateral pools to assess appropriate levels of borrowing for certain commercial loans.
• Ensures EXIM Bank and private insurance loans are maintained according to the respective agreements.
• Interacts with borrowers to provide appropriate levels of training, related to asset reporting.
• Provides guidance to analysts, lenders and portfolio managers during the underwriting process for FBL and EXIM deals.
• Prepares and distributes regular status reports on Asset Based Lending.
• Manages cash collateral and locked-box accounts.
• Reviews and analyzes third party field audits.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
FBL Analyst I: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required. Minimum 1 year banking experience or asset based lending experience.
FBL Analyst II: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred. 3-5 years experience as an asset based lending analyst required. Thorough knowledge or floor planning, mortgage warehousing, and Ex-Im Bank and other Credit Insured loans, in addition to standard FBL loans, is required.
FBL Analyst III: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. 5 years experience as an asset based lending analyst is required. Comprehensive knowledge of floor plan lending, mortgage warehousing, and Ex-Im Bank and other Credit Insured loans, in addition to standard FBL loans, is required.
COMMUNICATION/LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak, read and write in the English language; Spanish (or other languages) helpful. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; and compute rate, ratio, and percent; and to draw and interpret bar graphs. An understanding of higher mathematical concepts may be required for specific departments.
REASONING AND ANALYSIS ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
FBL Analyst I: EXIM Bank Certification preferred.
FBL Analyst II: EXIM Bank Certification preferred.
FBL Analyst III: EXIM Bank Certification required.

Travel may be required; computer literacy in word processing is required. Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Can apply technical/professional knowledge, interpersonal skills, and sales methods to obtain customers' commitment to ideas, services, or products. Handles objections effectively.

ATTENDANCE: Must be able to report to work regularly per the assigned schedule; and have the flexibility to work additional hours outside the assigned schedule when necessary; work steadily through the workday; and maintain an attendance record in compliance with Bank policies and procedures.
