Overview
In this role, responsibilities will include developing and maintaining new and existing training programs for staff of all levels. This role will produce trainings utilizing various training methodologies and theories. The successful candidate will be collaborative in working with employees at all levels and deliver a high level of service in meeting the training and development needs of the organization.
Responsibilities
• Identifies and writes learning objectives and create comprehensive storyboards using instructional design techniques
• Designs, develops and produces, including but not limited to, courses, curriculums, development plans, workshops, seminars, and presentations for meetings utilizing a variety of delivery methods – instructor-led classroom, eLearning, self-paced, web- and computer-based training
• Designs, develops and produces instructor manuals, participant guides, quick-reference guides, activities and job aides to support all training delivery
• Research and develop training programs aligned with corporate strategic initiatives
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and trainers to develop, update and maintain course content
• Evaluate the effectiveness of all trainings
• Partner with appropriate internal and external experts to utilize cutting edge and currently available technology
• Utilize multi-media tools including, but not limited to, online content editing software and use of internet/intranet networks and web-based education systems
• Collaborate with Training Coordinator to ensure managers/staff have sufficient tools to monitor training progress and processes
• Assist the Training Manager in the documentation of training materials for any new/revised products, systems, courses
• Evaluate, assess and determine return on investment of all training courses and programs.
• Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union’s policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Instructional Design or equivalent work experience
• One to two years related business experience is required
• Previous experience in the application of adult learning principles & methods
• Excellent oral/written communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills especially in Microsoft Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Publisher, and content editing software such as Adobe Captivate or similar software

• The ability to work independently while being a genuine "team player"
• Experience owing course development and materials from beginning to end
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with employees and managers at all levels

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Must be detail-oriented
• Must be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure and deliver projects within given deadlines
