Duties and Responsibilities
Vanguard strives to help investors achieve their financial goals by providing the highest-value investment-related information and education. We employ leading academic and industry researchers to produce practical, useful research as well as enduring insights. Vanguard is currently seeking an Investment Product Strategy Manager to lead the strategic assessment of new investment products and our current product portfolio.
The ideal candidate is a resourceful, bright professional who has a finger on the pulse of market trends and can make recommendations related to diverse asset classes, such as private equity. We’re looking for someone who can bring a fresh perspective to investment, industry, and regulatory issues, and who shares Vanguard's philosophy on our products, the markets, and the economy.
How you’ll spend your days
As an Investment Product Strategy Manager, you’ll spend your days evaluating investment trends related to alternative asset classes, such as private equity, to make recommendations for improvement of the product offer (both new products and opportunities), changes to existing products, and fund mergers and/or liquidations. Building a strong understanding of common portfolio construction techniques, investor preferences, product selection criteria, competitive dynamics, industry, demographic, and societal trends will enable you to identify potential impacts to Vanguard's success in the marketplace.
In this position, you’ll play a critical role in the creation of the long-term Global Product Plan, by establishing a vision for the investment product lineup and assisting in the prioritization of new products and product changes and defining the criteria used in that prioritization. Your interpretation and analysis of highly complex data will drive key and actionable insights. Maintaining a working knowledge of business areas, investment expertise, and voice of client, you’ll present well-researched, compelling ideas to partners and senior leaders.
Ultimately, you’ll cultivate effective working relationships with key stakeholders and lead project teams in shaping and evolving primary research, progressing the Vanguard product offer, and helping to improve investor outcomes.
