The Social Media Manager is responsible for development and execution of cross-platform social content plans, which requires a solid understanding of social platforms, and a thorough understanding of both paid and organic social marketing.
This position must collaborate with other channel owners, creative content producers and brand strategists to provide content direction for all types of social content.
Responsibilities
• Execute integrated social media campaigns on corporate social media channels -- including content planning, story ideation, content curation and production and publication -- to drive engagement and action.
• Develop and expand the organization's online communities and outreach efforts.
• Oversee company social media platform
• Engage on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram with followers and potential followers to build a social network and social community as well as find user generated content.
• Identify threats and opportunities in online user generated content surrounding the company's brand and business.
• Use discretion to act on customer’s feedback and social marketing trends to increase customer’s exposure.
• Identify social media trends, trending topics and relevant opportunities for visibility tied to the company's programs and mission and locate opportunities to make company part of “the conversation”.
• Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of content campaigns and community engagement; use insights from social media management tools and data to inform future activity.
• Understand social KPIs to make sure reporting is accurate and up-to-date to allow for proper reporting.
• Provide social platform insights to support paid campaign strategy and execution.
• Research new advertising opportunities on existing platforms and new social media properties.
• Monitor and reports on best practice/ways to integrate social media into business strategies and marketing campaigns.
• Develop a strategic implementation plan for year-round social media campaign promotion.
• Collaborate with teammates across departments, implement customer feedback, innovate on strategies, and help develop best practices.
• Confidently balance daily and weekly deadlines with department initiatives, utilizing multiple tools.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Experience including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
• Knowledge of social media and analytics software.
• Working knowledge of social media paid advertising campaigns.
• Strong understanding of user-generated content management, content marketing and reputation management.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices is ideal.
• Passionate about content marketing, social media, our clients’ businesses, the evolving digital world and where social media fits in the path to purchase.
• Being able to use independent judgement to improve our Brand’s marketing potential
• A creative mindset that shows through your work.
• Deadline-driven and detail-oriented attitude and aptitude.
• Strategic content creation and excellent writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision + able to collaborate with a team.
Qualifications
• 3-5 years of social media marketing experience (account management experience preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in communication, business, or related discipline.
• Understanding of regulated environment is preferred.
