Description
Position Summary:
Provides a high level of quality customer service to all customers whether in person or on the telephone. Greets customers, determines their needs, and notifies appropriate staff. Projects a professional and friendly image of the bank and the community it serves.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Greets customers, vendors, job applicants and other visitors.
• Assists in the opening and closing of the bank
• Answers & directs telephone calls (take messages, etc.)
• Maintains backup tapes
• Sort, distribute in and outgoing mail
• Notary Public
• Orders supplies for branch
• Assists in Personal Banking function by performing the following duties:
◦ Performs basic services for customers; accepting check re-ordering requests, re-encoding ATM cards, receiving safe deposit payments, etc.
◦ Answers basic customer questions; i.e. services and products available, CD rates, account characteristics, etc.
◦ Customer correspondence
◦ Escorts customers to the safe deposit boxes
• Travel between branches is required; some travel between banks may be necessary
• Various other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Required:
Fluent in MS Office
Excellent interpersonal skills is required
Pleasant and professional demeanor is essential
Training/ Education/ Experience Qualifications: (Include licenses and certifications)
Some college is preferred
High School Diploma
Should have experience taking orders and satisfying the requests of customers
