As a Remarketing Specialist you will provide quality and efficient customer service by performing administrative duties related to the remarketing of vehicle returns. Every call is an opportunity for you to use your communication and negotiation skills while working with customers, auto dealerships, vendors and financial institutions concerning retail and lease accounts. You will works with other team members to ensure that the daily workload of the center is completed. What is Remarketing? We prepare and manage the inventory of Ally's U.S. pre-owned retail and lease-return vehicles, which includes: · Vehicle Return Management· Transportation Logistics· Inspection - Title Coordination· Online and Physical Auction Sales· Direct-to-Dealer Sales· Direct-to-Customer Sales Visit www.ally.com to learn more. The purpose of this position is to provide quality and efficient customer service by performing administrative duties related to the remarketing of vehicle returns. This position works with other team members to ensure that the daily workload of the center is completed.
Job Responsibilities
• Builds solid peer-to-peer relationships in a team environment to meet operational needs.
• Communicates effectively and clearly on a daily, weekly, monthly basis with outside suppliers, customers and dealers to provide exceptional customer service regarding routine requests.
• Supports rigorous quality, control and compliance programs to include an ongoing control/compliance self-assessment process.
• Performs data entry, system coding, inventory audits, reconciliations, etc. to ensure alignment between vendor systems and Ally systems.
• Problem solves issues affecting departmental operations, research possible solutions and provides recommendations to resolve SmartAuction cases.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with Ally Policies and Procedures as well as regulatory requirements
• Identify and escalate issues to Senior Associate. Acknowledge and communicate process improvements and best practices as they pertain to the SmartAuction Arbitration Team.
• Manage case volume slightly above average distribution level.
• Analysis of data required and expected decision making skills required.
Qualifications
• HS diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial services or similar industry.
• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in business or related may be used as a proxy for the experience.
• Basic knowledge of general/standard office and administrative procedures and methods
• Requires Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Significant Excel experience required.
• Oral and written communication skills sufficient to clearly provide routine information to team mates, customers, dealers or suppliers.
• Computer skills sufficient to enter data on spreadsheets and effectively communicate to internal and external customers.
• In limited subject areas judgment is required to determine the applicability of guidelines or policies to specific situations.
• Some ingenuity and initiative required to collect information, coordinate activities with others, and resolve routine and/or factual problems
• Effective Negotiation skills required.
• Conflict Management skills required.
