This Marketing Managerposition will develop and implement strategic marketing plans for the Government Contracting Advisory Services and Forensic Litigation and Valuation Services consulting practices in alignment with the teams’ business plans. Work closely with partners, team leaders, marketing colleagues, and others to conduct research, develop plans, and implement strategies. Plan and implement a wide range of marketing tactics and initiatives, including demand generation through multi-channel campaigns, sponsorships, events, speaking engagements, thought leadership content, webinars, e-mail marketing, presentations, advertising, and press releases; develop and maintain effective sales collateral and practice-specific content. This is a hands-on, proactive role in planning, managing, executing, analyzing, and reporting on marketing activities for these consulting practices.

Responsibilities
Proactively develop and implement strategic marketing plans in alignment with the overall firm-wide marketing plan and respective industry, service line, or local office business plans.
• Develop and implement strategic plans/playbooks for assigned teams
• Define and develop marketing, communication, and brand building strategies and tactics to execute the plans/playbooks
• Manage and implement a wide range of marketing activities such as thought leadership, webinars, digital advertising, social media, events and sponsorships to support the strategic marketing plans. This also includes developing and maintaining marketing collateral, website content, proposal and presentation content, and standard pitch-books/templates.
• Work closely with leaders to:
◦ Lead marketing efforts
◦ Gather and maintain relevant client lists, industry research and information, competitor insights, etc.
◦ Bring partners together on a regular basis to:
# Collaborate on marketing initiatives
# Develop and share ideas and best practices
# Establish professional development and training, as required
# Identify high potential targets and form Pursuit Teams
# Discuss client service planning topics and relevant management recommendations
# Share industry insights and knowledge
# Monitor and report results
• Collaborate closely with marketing colleagues to:
◦ Align objectives and strategies with Baker Tilly’s national marketing plans, strategies, and objectives
◦ Establish industry/service differentiation
◦ Effectively leverage firm marketing resources and planning tools
◦ Innovate, share, and implement best practices
◦ Research industry issues, developments, and trends
◦ Track and report marketing return on investment and marketing return on objectives of initiatives
◦ Proactively communicate initiatives and results with marketing leaders, marketing director, and the marketing team
Conduct research and market intelligence
• Research and prepare market intelligence reports
• Integrate market research and competitive data into industry/service line strategic marketing plans as well as specific marketing tactics
• Work with subject matter experts and lead the development and promotion of industry-focused content and thought leadership materials, such as white papers, articles/alerts, case studies, and client testimonials
• Respond to ad-hoc research requests
Manage staff, as assigned
• Provide direction and guidance to assigned staff in the performance of their roles, establishing work priorities and in achieving stated goals
Maintain and expand knowledge base in area of expertise
• Participate in professional organizations, independent study, etc.
• Integrate new knowledge, skills, and best practices into daily work and share with colleagues as appropriate
• Become acknowledged and sought out by others due to extensive, in-depth knowledge and expertise of the assigned industry/service lines
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
• Participate in marketing taskforces and special projects
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field, minimum of seven (7) years marketing experience required
• Prior marketing management experience in a professional services environment preferred
• Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills required and experience with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop and/or InDesign preferred
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff from entry level to partners and work well in a team-focused environment. High-level verbal and written communication skills required. High attention to detail is essential
• Excellent planning and measurement skills, including experience in building integrated campaigns and leveraging thought leadership
• Strong grasp of marketing principles, including marketing automation, CRM, social media, online and native advertising, and other digital marketing
• Excellent people skills, enthusiastic attitude, and ability to build relationships
• Effectively work under tight deadlines, manage projects independently, and be resourceful in addressing challenges and solving problems
• Strategic thinker with superior professionalism, judgment, and strong work ethic
