We’re looking for developers who are passionate about building software that delights our customers and foster a low effort experience. The preferred candidate is one who enjoys working within a team in an entrepreneurial environment, influencing the long term direction of our solutions while working with a similar minded group of people. You’ll be part of a Skunkworks team that specializes in using the latest technologies to provide world class solutions to challenging and emerging business needs. Our technical solutions are fairly diverse. As such you’ll work on projects that range from call handling systems, to reporting systems, to real-time event based communication systems and even building video games for play at work. Promote a risk-aware culture; ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for supporting Shared Services and systems across multiple lines of Business Units enterprise wide. Heavy focus on management and enhancement of the Data Lake
• Work closely with multiple Business and Technology partners for prioritizing and developing new products, processes, applications and data streams. Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for data operations support
• Responsibilities include maintaining integrity and availability of existing data sources; and bringing in data from new sources
• Help business with data discovery. Provide ongoing support on existing systems ensuring SLAs are met
• Communicate with end-users and management to provide timely and accurate information and status updates
• Ensure best practices and adherence to quality data standards. Maintain & update system documentation as necessary
Skills:
Required Skills:
• Advanced level of expertise in SQL
• Highly knowledgeable in database systems with proficiency in Oracle, Hive, Teradata, MySQL, Maria, Mongo, etc.
• Intermediate expertise in Python and R
• Intermediate proficiency in AWS Cloud and Big-Data technologies
• Must be analytical, technical and highly organized
• Experience with troubleshooting, solving problems and delivering high quality results in a fast paced environment
• Experience with Technical Project Management
• Strong communication skills
• Great team player with a focus on customer
• Must have LEAN, Agile (Scrum) knowledge and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research or equivalent quantitative field with 3+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Skills:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research or equivalent quantitative field
• Advanced expertise in Python and R
• Experience managing code on Github
