We are seeking a Regional Managerto lead our Mid-Atlantic Region’s Property Management division which includes the Baltimore / Washington corridor spanning through Richmond and Hampton Roads, VA. This externally facing sales role will lead JLL’s Mid-Atlantic Property Management team and partner with local business line leads (Capital Markets, Brokerage, Project and Development Services) to integrate and coordinate the services required to service JLL Investor client base. Additionally, this position will not only lead the markets Property Management team, this role will partner with the National Investor Account Team and the National Business Development Leads to advance and expand both new and existing Property Management business relationships ensuring that JLL Property Management continues to grow and be a market leading third party service provider in the Mid-Atlantic region. The targeted candidate has a passion for people, leading a team, and expanding and cultivating a strong pipeline of property management business opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide strategic leadership to all Property Management leveraging people and the platform to continue the growth of Property Management to the market leading position in the Mid-Atlantic region
• Establish a strong partnership with key local and business line internal stakeholders, including Capital Markets, Brokerage, Project and Development Services (PDS), and all Investor Services businesses to source new clients and expand current customer base.
• Meet annual business growth objectives by overseeing the new business development process, including the targeting of key prospects/clients, and the creation of powerful proposals and presentations
• Develop a working knowledge of JLL platform resources including marketing, research, technology and core best practices to enhance the business development efforts
• Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with customers to better understand needs, ensure a high level of execution and client satisfaction for all services performed. Align the JLL service delivery model to meet and exceed asset/portfolio performance objectives
• Implement new customer relations best practices to ensure the highest level of current and future customer satisfaction
• Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork and trust locally, regionally and globally
• Seek ways to become visible and recognized as a noted industry expert across the region (industry & civic group membership, public speaking, panels, articles, interviews, etc.)
SUCCESS PROFILE/DRIVERS:
• Leadership/People Management- proven leadership with ability to develop and leverage talent across the platform to create succession and grow the business
• Sales/Business Development- proven sales expertise with ability to work across all service lines
• Stakeholder Management- ability to cultivate teamwork and partnering across service lines
• Drive for Results- decisiveness with bias for action
• Build High Performing Teams- create culture of teamwork, collaboration, and trust
• Technical Skills- ability to translate strategy to market share gains and managing cost through a P&L.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree required from a four-year college or university with outstanding academic achievement. MBA a plus.
• 10 + years proven business development success in the commercial real estate services industry, preferably selling in a major metropolitan market place, with knowledge of the Mid-Atlantic region, and a track record of cultivating and sourcing new business.
• Deep knowledge of selling to institutional investors and across a range of asset classes I highly desired.
• Real estate sales, brokerage or appraisal license
• CPM, RPA or CCIM designation and participation in professional industry organizations desired
• Strategic client relationships within the market or the industry with a philosophy focusing on client growth and retention.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate and mentor a team of real estate professionals
• Exceptional business and financial acumen, creating an environment that maximizes profitability while growing effective teams and embracing national and regional business initiatives.
• Outgoing, confident and collaborative with the ability to motivate and inspire employees, customers and outside business contacts
• A keen leader and self-starter with exceptional verbal/written communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build consensus with the peer group and within a matrix organization.
• Articulate, polished and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel regionally (mostly local to Washington DC metro area).
