The Content Marketing Operations Manager is a key member of the content marketing leadership team working closely with the Head of Content Strategy and the other leaders of the marketing organization to ensure the error free creation and production of marketing materials across all types of media.
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the regular production of quality marketing materials across a variety of marketing media (print, web, social) and for a variety of sales channels (intermediary, institutional, insurance, international). The ideal candidate will have a shown ability to build successful teams focused on operational efficiency and expertly understanding the asset management space to deliver impactful and timely marketing materials. The ideal candidate has the analytical and strategic experience to develop and implement creative solutions to solve operational challenges. Strong people management skills, attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously are necessary.
Key responsibilities:
• Create a centralized marketing operations and reporting group with a primary focus on product marketing collateral across a variety of marketing media
• Regular review of product positioning and messaging with other members of the content team and updating materials as messaging changes
• Establish and handle workflow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing and retiring content
• Instrumental decision maker on an appropriate Content Management System and lead in implementing and onboarding new technology to improve the existing workflows and processes
• Lead the development and maintenance of marketing content on the websites, in sales collateral, and in other sales tools that support the selling of Voya Investment Management solutions
• Understand product development, product life cycle, and associated regulatory and compliance guidelines as it relates to the development and maintenance of product collateral
• Strong understanding of data and analytics and ability to present data effectively and efficiently
• Liaise with appropriate teams to direct the development and implementation of processes, tools, metrics, initiatives, infrastructure and technology to support and improve the operations of the Content Strategy Team
• Accelerates change of the Content Strategy Team utilizing change management concepts and methods and implement organizational strategies to meet business objectives
• Conduct ongoing usability tests to gauge content effectiveness
• Utilize data and metrics to support recommended changes to processes and materials
• Work with owners of particular content to revise and measure content effectiveness against marketing goals
• Develops standards, systems and best practices (both human and technological) for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing, including the real-time implementation of content strategies
• Supervises the maintenance of content inventories and matrices
• Develops standard work and processes including requesting, developing and ongoing management of marketing communications
• Keep pace with marketing operations innovations, systems and platforms outside of Voya; bring new thinking and approaches to bear in recommending and implementing improvements for Voya IM Marketing.
• Prepares various reports periodically provided to senior management and other interested parties.
Qualifications and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field combined with 7+ years of experience— preferably supporting operations across multiple channels/workgroups within an advertising or marketing organization.
• Demonstrated success with process development and mapping, using that information to inform the procurement and/or development of automated tools and systems.
• Ability to analyze and make recommendations that improve department performance, including process enhancements, resource assignments and implementation of tools and technology.
• Ability to lead multiple, complex initiatives, collaborating effectively with colleagues at all levels to design and implement processes in a timely manner and practices that enhance cross-functional team performance.
• Experience managing teams remotely.
• Collaborative problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; excellent organizational skills and detail orientation with a commitment to continuously improve.
• Excellent, shown communication (written and verbal) and relationship management skills; strong presentation skills with ability to articulate concepts and influence decision-making.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office as well as InDesign; and experience with automated workflow systems (Coric and Seismic).
• Willingness to travel.
