Our West region State and Local government team, headquartered in Sacramento, CA is embarking on an ambitious growth plan and seeking talented professionals for our Advisory practice. Our Advisory practice provides strategy and planning support to our clients, and assists them in the management, oversight and assessment of large scale technology-enabled change projects. The ideal candidates will have significant consulting experience (Big 5 experience preferred), including the full planning, acquisition and implementation lifecycle for large, complex Information Technology projects. Public Sector experience is preferred. Hands-on technical implementation experience is highly valued, as is experience with project management, organizational change management and Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V)/oversight. Candidates must have experience with business development, including participation in pre-sales capture work and the development of proposals. We are particularly interested in ambitious, entrepreneurial individuals with a drive to win new business and to build a thriving, high-profile consulting practice serving government’s largest and most complex problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• This highly demanding and rewarding role entails balancing three primary areas of responsibility – client engagement management, business development and team/practice development. Specific responsibilities include:
• Perform engagement management including responsibilities for:
• Team performance reviews
• Task delegation
• Project scheduling
• Project financials
• Project deliverables
• Quality review and
• Client management
• Build new business by meeting or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work by leading the entire sales cycle:
• Opportunity identification
• Capture on opportunities
• Proposal development
• Orals Presentation
• Management and development of team members, participation at Events and Conferences, and development of sales, training and methodology collateral.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in at least 3 of areas with 5 years of experience in each
• IT Audit / Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) / Independent Project Oversight
• System Integration/COTS Implementation/FAST Gentax
• Organizational Change Mgmt
• Public sector procurement
• Agile Project Mgmt
• Analytics and Business Intelligence
• Cyber Security
• IT strategy
• Certifications in one or more of following:
• PMP, CBAP, PROSCI Adkar, Agile (CSM and SaFE)
• Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
• U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
• Travel may be required.
• Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
• Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
• Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
