Job Description
The Agency Engagement team is responsible supporting the achievement of business and corporate goals with a focus on agent engagement and delivery of the Ivantage value proposition.The team supports the sales and agency processes, projects and programs as well as training and education efforts.
The Agency Engagement Senior Consultant assists in the execution and coordination of direct agent interactions. The role partners with the regions and internal Ivantage teams to provide training and education around the full product offerings of personal and commercial lines solutions, the corner stone to the Ivantage agency value proposition.
Key Responsibilities
Agent Interactions
• Demonstrates an expert level understanding of all existing programs, products and processes to conduct agent training/education
• Clearly understands agent compensation as it relates to solutions made available through Ivantage
• Exercises knowledge of Ivantage business process and carrier service level agreements
• Promotes products that drive sales to existing and new Allstate customers through expanded market solutions via outbound phone calls and agency visits
• Recommends Ivantage agent regional communication strategies
• Recommends steps to optimize agency value proposition and present recommendations to Agency Engagement Director
• Attends New Agent Fairs to help drive awareness of Ivantage products and solutions
• Responsible for traveling out to assigned territories to drive training/education and sales growth, and managing travel expenses.
• Can fluently educate agents on the following topics: product availability, compensation, agency tools, technology, marketing and carrier appetite
• Partners with Ivantage’s Business Development team to provide feedback on product and/or carrier gaps and influences decisions on prioritization
• Develop and recommend sales and marketing ideas to drive Ivantage growth in assigned regions
Project Management
• Plans, implements, manages, and/or contributes on projects that are up to moderate complexity and are small to moderately scaled using accepted project management standards
• Forecasts short-term and long-term deliverables
• Assists in the formulation of strategies to achieve plan objectives
• Communicates and presents project information
• Ensures project controls are in place throughout the lifecycle of the project
• Actively manages all project related expenses
• Analyzes statistical data as it relates to basic programs, projects and processes of moderate complexity; provides action alternatives for improvement as appropriate
Program and Process Design/Improvement
• Supports and/or leads the development/design of new plans, programs and processes up to moderate complexity
• Develops communication strategies and materials to support new plans, programs & processes
• Solicits inputs from key stakeholders
• Evaluates procedures and processes regularly and determines/ recommends alternatives or improvements
• Contributes to Regional/Home Office market share growth and profitability by recommending routine changes to sales programs and providing expertise in their respective discipline
• Implements the integration and delivery of planned changes/projects to Regions/Home Office
Research and Analysis
• Intermediate knowledge in the use of data sources and applications to conduct research
• Analyzes data and reviews analysis from others
• Performs and evaluates basic to moderately complex trend analysis
• Determines appropriate analyses to be conducted for projects to make recommendations to achieve Regional/Corporate goals
Program & Process Communications
• Serves on a Regional/Home Office Sales department task force, committee, or team group as needed
• Schedules, coordinates, conducts meetings and routes information
• Delivers presentations to Sales & other departments
• Communicates program, policy, and procedure objectives to appropriate personnel
• Provides program, policy, and procedure results to management
• Plans layout/design of Sales publications/communications
• Develops and updates sales support education materials
Job Qualifications
• 5 – 10 years industry experience preferred
• Continually seeks opportunities for learning and development of sales processes and programs within their respective discipline(s)
• Possesses intermediate working knowledge of sales processes, policies, and procedures or other business/technical fields
• Leverages understanding of current industry standards/ environment to impact decisions and indicate requirements
• Serves as a subject matter expert for their respective discipline(s) from an internal perspective
