Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Product Lifecycle & Strategy, this position involves running the global product roadmap across all of Visa products and services, including outside of GP&S. This position will develop and lead a team that will be responsible for the development and ongoing management of the overall Visa 2-3 year product roadmap as well as coordinate with the global technology teams on the delivery and planning across the roadmap. It will liaise with the global product and regional product teams to set and prioritize the initiatives with the product roadmap as well as support an agile development and evolution to the delivery of the key programs in the roadmap.
Core duties for the role include:
Build out the current Visa product roadmap to a robust, 2-3 year plan of which products are being developed, and which ones are going to be deployed in market and when – including products and capabilities outside of the GP&S team
Communicate and coordinate overall product strategy and product roadmap across global product and cross-functional stakeholders including CSS, Marketing, Technology, and Regional product teams
Maintain and evolve product roadmap in coordination with regional and global product teams
Align product roadmap and coordinate across technology for the planning and delivery across associated initiatives with a lens of looking at current and future needs across delivery
Coordinate across technology on shared roadmaps and associated release schedule to ensure commitments are made and measure success of delivery
Work with capital planning team to manage budget and resource allocation across priorities
Define success measures across delivery
Qualifications
BA or BS degree in Business, Economics, or related field required
15+ years of accelerated professional growth in leading companies, with a track record of growing levels of responsibility and accomplishments
Real client facing experience in enterprise relationships and a deep experience in understanding how Visa clients take products to market
Meaningful experience in business strategy development, with 4-5 years of experience at a leading strategic management-consulting firm or leading corporate strategy office preferred
Deep financial acumen, able to establish and maintain a balanced portfolio of initiatives with the ability to assign accountability and track performance
Demonstrated track record of driving consensus, decision and results through influencing in a highly matrixed business model
Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills
Deep understanding of the payments environment, with ability to analyze the market in terms of future profit pools, payment volume growth, pricing opportunities, etc.
