The RSM Culture Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) program is expanding rapidly in its mission to impact the talent and client experience in positive ways. As such, increases in the duties and tasks required to execute the CDI program effectively, necessitate the support of an administrative leader and project management talent to accelerate deliverables, performance and outcomes for this team.
This Diversity and Inclusion Manager role serves to provide organizational, administrative and project management support to the CDI team. The role is based in the McLean Virginia RSM office but will interact with CDI team members and others nationally. The experienced, high-energy, detail-oriented professional will support the achievement of goals and activities advancing CDI. The role is specifically focused on working directly with CDI executive and functional leaders delivering certain administrative, management and event execution assignments relative to:
• CDI councils
• Diverse Professional Organization (DPO) organizations,
• National partnerships,
• External consultant deliverables and will include work with CDI leaders, project managers and team members to achieve CDI success
The candidate will work daily and directly with CDI leaders to ensure activity coordination and relevant deliverables, schedules, conference calls, meetings, agendas, Power Point presentations and support for time-sensitive projects is achieved. This includes activity tracking and timely communications - both vital to administrative management, special events, workshops, and relevant content, as well as, other actions in support of execution of the CDI program.
Essential Duties
CDI Team Management:
• CDI Leaders - Work with CDI leaders supporting team administrative needs objectives and deliverables to ensure all conference, presentations, meetings and events are executed with proper planning and are inclusive of all necessary contributors. This includes coordination and planning or internal CDI meetings and team convening
• CDI Events - Support the execution and management of certain CDI events, owning aspects of planning and production, which may include supporting leaders by working with venues, vendors, career fair teams, premiums and collateral, speakers, materials and presentation content for event success
• CDI Communication- Assistance compiling and producing data and content for introducing CDI as well as reporting of CDI outcomes to various audiences. Fielding questions for CDI leaders and sharing feedback, input and ideas for continuous improvement of the CDI program. Keeping an open line of communication with the project managers and participants so they can alert of potential snags and problems on the horizon
Administrative Support:
• Supporting CDI leaders with various tasks to advance execution of the CDI program as well as personal and team schedules, travel, communication and assistance to allow increased effectiveness
• Resolves administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions
• Completes operational requirements by scheduling and executing administrative projects; expediting work results
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal RSM/CDI support networks and relationships
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Other duties as assigned
Education/Certifications:
• Bachelor degree required
• Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred; and recommended to be obtained within 2 years of start
Technical Skills:
• Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal required
• Strong project management and execution support skills required
• Effective organization and time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects required
• Strong attention to detail required
• Operate with a sense of urgency required
Experience:
• 5-7 years of administrative experience required
• Experience managing time-sensitive, large scale projects, timelines and related deliverables and production required
• Experience working with corporate program objectives and leadership preferred
• Previous professional services experience preferred
Leadership Skills:
• Ability to prioritize work and set deadlines for self and others required
• Ability to work with leadership in execution of plans and projects to drive deliverables activities, outcomes and accomplishments required
• Ability to direct and review the results of projects or assignments required
• Previous project or team support experience preferred
• Operate consistently in a manner that supports the firm culture and values required
• Ability to drive collaboration and communication between teams required
