The Fiduciary Tax Analyst is responsible for providing tax reporting assistance and problem resolution support for the Fidelity Personal Trust Company, FSB (FPTC) tax group. The FPTC tax group facilitates the timely and accurate filing of fiduciary income tax returns, including estimated tax payments and interfaces with business partners as well as wealthy individuals and trust clients across the U.S. The Fiduciary Tax Analyst is asked to perform functions related to fiduciary tax preparation including: ongoing maintenance of reportable account transactions, collection and transmission of internal and external tax information to outside tax preparers, as well as document movement in support of new trust accounts. The Fiduciary Tax Analyst also provides problem resolution support for the FPTC trust offering and works closely with external tax preparers, Trust Operations, Trust Administration, PI and all FI departments.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent related experience
• 5 + years fiduciary tax preparation experience
• Experience Thomas OneSource or similar with tax software
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent preferred

The Value You Deliver
• Assist with facilitating all federal and state fiduciary tax filing and payments
• Collaborate with the Fiduciary Tax Director, Regional Trust Specialist, Regional Fiduciary Officer and Trust Administration to onboard new trust accounts, identify tax related concerns and ensure proper account set up from inception
• Support FPTC trust officers, trust administrators and other internal colleagues in tax related aspects of the administration of trust accounts where FPTC serves as trustee or agent
• Interfacing with internal business partners and external tax preparers with respect to fiduciary tax topics
• Assist with ensuring that FPTC policies and procedures and workflows remain updated and are compliant
• Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively at all levels of the organization

The Fiduciary Tax Analyst provides tax support to ensure proper administration of FPTC’s trust business. The position interfaces directly with prospects, clients and advisors supporting FPTC’s high net worth clients. In addition to engaging clients, the role works with Trust Officers, Trust Administrators, Trust Operations, and Legal, to meet federal and state filing requirements as well as provide complicated tax reporting and strategy solutions.
