Job Summary
Farmers Insurance, with great employee-focused atmosphere and challenging project domains is currently searching for a dynamic Software Product Testing Lead to join our Quality Assurance team. This position is responsible for leading software quality assurance activities related to the quality, reliability, performance and compliance for Policy Administration - Property & Casualty Products.
This QA product Lead will Work in Agile (SAFE and SCRM) SDLCs, plans and controls day to day QA / Testing project tasks; Adheres to IT governance; Works with business unit to define needs and arranges appropriate resources; Coordinates delivery of work from all suppliers for multiple projects / programs, including risk, quality, change management, schedule, and financial management; Accountable for Acceptance Criteria and User Acceptance Testing; Responsible for project level planning, monitoring and reporting; Coordinates communication, escalation, and financial impact management, when SLAs are not met.
Essential Job Functions
• Responsible for leading QA Software Testing portfolio for Personal Lines Policy Administration
• Manage Test planning, execution, automation framework, develop and implement continuous improvement roadmap
• Manage the execution of system, integration, regression and UAT testing for Policy administration and related functions
• Collaborate with product owners to identify product and technical requirements and plan and implement the releases of major functionality.
• Responsible for Risk assessment, Risk management, risk mitigation and Go/No-Go recommendations
• Manage Test Automation framework and recommend/implement framework
• Performs internal project closure/lessons learnt
• Supervise team of Functional/automation testers to improve project outcomes
• Test Environment management, manage environment scheduling for multiple in-flight projects
• Measure test Coverage & Drive test effectiveness.
• Manage Entry and Exit criteria for projects in assigned
• Defining test strategy for large and complex projects
Physical Actions
Required job duties are essentially sedentary work consisting of occasional walking, standing and lifting and/or carrying 10 lbs. maximum, and seeing.
Physical Environment
Required job duties are normally performed in a climate controlled office environment.
Education Requirements
Bachelors degree or equivalent or specific relevant experience
Experience Requirements
• Overall experience of 8 – 10 years in IT is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of quality assurance experience required.
• 3 – 5 years experience in Policy Administration Insurance domain or Financial domain preferred.
• Expert-level knowledge and experience in all testing functions (Functional, Regression, Performance/stress, UAT)/ system life-cycle for web and non-web applications.
• Good background in applications development methodologies, SDLC and other IT industry standards.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum project delivery using Rally.
• Good understanding of Maturity Models (CMMi, TMMi, LEAN etc.).
• Experience in QA automation frameworks (Selenium, HP UFT etc.)
• Experience with performance testing and performance test tools
• Experience with Dev Ops/continuous integration process & tools like GITHub, Clear Case.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills demonstrated through successfully leading large and complex change initiatives
• Strong project management, customer service and conflict management skills that can be applied in providing support and direction to team members.
• Experience with Test Data Management tools
• Experience in Guidewire Policy Center highly desirable.
• Prior experience of defining test strategy for large and complex projects.
• Prior experience leading large complex programs with multiple integration points
