Global Fund Accounting – Real Estate – Financial Associate/Assistant Vice President

Business Unit: Global Fund Accounting
Job Title: Financial Associate/Assistant Vice President
Job Description: Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Quarterly close for BX and all fund level partnerships.
• Quarterly and annually fund partnerships’ GAAP financial statements.
• GAAP capital account allocations and reconciliations.
• All fund level operating activities including deal funding, investor funding, all cash activities and reconciliations.
• Workpaper supporting schedules for all balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Journal entries for all capital calls and distributions activities and all other fund level activities
• All updates in waterfall model for contribution and distribution process and distribution waterfall testing.
• Reviewing distribution schedules and coordinating all wire transfers to investors with Treasury team.
• Coordinating with internal and external audit to ensure SOX compliance.
• All system migration and implementation.
• Collaborating with multiple internal teams including Tax, Technology, Acquisition, Asset Management, and Treasury.
• Working with various groups such the investment team, investor reporting team, as well as tax teams.
Qualifications: Ideal candidate would have a commitment to excellence in their work, strong time management skills, and a desire to learn.
• 5-8 years of Big 4 or private company experience in the private equity industry (Real Estate or Investment Partnership Preferred).
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting
• CPA or graduate degree preferred
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Strong analytical skills
• Ability to produce timely and accurate records, with an emphasis on the importance of supporting work paper documentation
• Ability to thrive in a team-based environment
• Effective verbal and written communicator
• Highly organized and proactive
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic culture
• Personal and professional integrity of the highest order
• Knowledge of carried interest and waterfall calculations
• Proficiency in Investran
