The Strategic Client Onboarding (SCO) team focuses on transformational platform strategies that give Financial Advisors, support staff, and clients better tools to collaboratively manage the onboarding process with prospects and clients. The SCO team is recruiting a process-oriented strategic thinker who has a passion for uncovering new opportunities and executing projects to continuously improve these tools. The Vice President – Client Onboarding Product Owner will assist SCO Management with the conceptualization and delivery of a strategy which better connects the various business processes that make up the end-to-end client onboarding interaction.
The VP – Client Onboarding Product Owner will be responsible for the execution of multiple project activities from initiation to implementation. S/he will ultimately act as a subject matter expert for the account opening and maintenance platform and will manage initiatives that cross the entire end-to-end Wealth Management onboarding process.
The VP will interface with business, operations, technology, legal, and compliance partners to implement enhancements and strategic transformations across the system and all associated and ancillary business processes. The VP will field inquiries from senior management, the service center, business partners, and branches and be able to explain how the system works and troubleshoot escalations as necessary.
The ideal candidate is an inquisitive self-starter with experience in the transformation of technology-based business processes. Prior experience/knowledge of Wealth Management business processes, including client profile data management, is a plus.
Responsibilities:
• Lead team of product/business analysts
• Responsible for longer term strategic portfolio and smaller enhancements for owned products
• Manage projects independently through all phases of the project lifecycle
• Develop meaningful solutions to critical business issues and to enhance the platform by analyzing user feedback and metrics and collaborating with partners across the organization
• Develop strategic business requirements to achieve strategic solutions, building solution consensus between business partners, operations, UX, IT, legal, compliance, and risk
• Identify opportunities to digitalize paper-based and in-person client interaction
• Manage testing completion in coordination with team leads, review testing plans, defects, requirement clarifications, and completion reports to ensure a smooth implementation of enhancements to the account opening and maintenance platform
• Lead the development of communications and training programs to educate the field and call centers about upcoming implementations and promote adoption
• Manage field engagement and release rollout strategy
• Perform business verification of new functionality releases post-implementation in production
• Liaise between cross-functional teams to identify strategic system solutions and issue resolutions compliant with industry and governmental regulations
• Resolve escalations from senior management, the Service Center, Business Partners, and FAs/CSAs daily
• Simplify complex technical systems into visual process flows, tables, and PowerPoint presentations
• Assist with meeting preparation and facilitation
• Facilitate interviews and focus groups with end users to understand business processes and connect-the-dots to other work going on in the space
Qualifications:
• BS/BA degree with strong academic record
Skills Required:
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience
• Consulting experience preferred
• Self-starter with exceptional project management skills and ability to work both independently and in a group to drive project to completion
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment required
• Strong analytical capabilities and problem solving skills required
• Must be able to effectively communicate in both business and technical contexts
• Strong analytical, process-oriented, problem-solving/issues-resolution skills required
• Ability to work well with employees across a diverse range of functional groups required
