Job Description
Position Description
Reporting to the Director, Digital Sales, the Digital Product Manager/Director, Account Opening will act as the primary digital product owner for online deposit account opening for Ally Bank.
Job Responsibilities
• Develops and owns implementation of the digital product vision for online account opening, including both near- and long-term roadmaps
• Ensures cross-functional alignment on product features and prioritization
• Acts as subject matter expert on the account opening platform/ system/ functions and understands key drivers for funnel conversion
• Identifies opportunities for improvement through constant monitoring of performance metrics and VOC and creates an active and well-defined pipeline of A/B testing & optimization concepts that directly address tangible areas of improvement in both performance and customer satisfaction
• Conducts competitive reviews and analysis (industry and broadly) to ensure Ally's digital experiences are best in class
• Accountable for ensuring growth in key business indicators (application completion rate, customer satisfaction)
• Prepares and presents executive-level summaries on KPIs, Voice of Customer trends and roadmaps to ensure prioritization with deposits strategy
• Serves as product owner on an established, high functioning agile scrum team with direct accountability for creating and refining the team's backlog
• Cultivates a balance between the company's strategic objectives and user experience best practices to deliver a world-class account opening experience
Qualifications
• Ten plus years of digital sales optimization experience across platforms (desktop and mobile)
• Passion and enthusiasm for the space
• Strong partnership focus; prior success with indirect leadership of all levels - up, down, and peer partners.
• Thrive in a self-directed environment
• Strong analysis skills, ability to interpret data against business objectives
• Outgoing and comfortable engaging and involving internal business partners and leadership (at all levels)
• Ambitious and willing to perform tasks at all levels, including some routine tasks
• Critical thinker with strong analytical skills. Detail oriented.
• Experience in financial services, especially in understanding the significance of legal, compliance and regulatory factors
• Proficiency in creating user stories, spearheading refinement and sprint planning activities and conducting succinct and informative sprint demos
• Experience working in an agile environment; not only within the scrum team but also with functional partners, executive leadership and with other scrum teams.
• Demonstrable experience with successful multivariate testing and optimization.
• Flexibility relative to priority of work, ability to shift focus and schedule (deployments are scheduled when there will be minimal impact to our customers).
• Able to grasp technical concepts and leverage this knowledge to help facilitate sizing of features and stories.
• Excel, Word and PowerPoint proficiency is a must.
