Job DescriptionSUMMARY
This position requires an individual who is willing and able to accept and cope with change as duties evolve.
Performs administrative duties related to the setup of Retirement, Section 125, HRA, HSA, COBRA, Transportation and Identity Theft Protection Plans for multiple clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Embody, support, promote, and enhance the BPC corporate culture
• Cross train team members to ensure business continuity and adhere to a “three-deep” cross training philosophy
• Provide solutions and improve efficiency by thinking analytically and being solution oriented
• Develop and maintain excellent relations with new and existing clients
• Work closely with clients, brokers and other third parties to customize plan design and set up
• Complete entire onboarding process for new clients, including initial meetings, preparation of client contracts,
• forms, document services and plan setup
• Complete preparation and restatement of client documents, summary plan descriptions (SPDs), and other plan
• materials as applicable
• Prepare amendments to update documents for client requested plan changes or current regulations
• Work closely with clients, brokers and other third parties to obtain necessary statements, reports and disclosures
• Assist with plan non-discrimination testing
• Attend webinar training and industry teleconferences
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• This position is responsible for working with multiple client plans.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred; or Associate's degree with related experience. Benefit and Retirement plan administration knowledge preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel. Ability to learn other programs specific to document and benefit administration.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as plan documents, summary plan descriptions, government codes, rules and regulations, etc. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, plan participants, insurance brokers and agents.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with many variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
