Position Description:
The Advanced Markets Network (AMN) Actuarial Team is looking for a qualified FSA to join the area. The AMN Actuarial Team is responsible for product pricing and product development of New York Life’s institutional life insurance products (BOLI/COLI). Being a member of the Actuarial Team will provide an opportunity to work in a standalone business unit and interact with various functional areas such as sales and distribution, technology and service, and product management.
Responsibilities Include:
• Assist in the development and pricing of new 2017 CSO compliant products
• Be responsible for producing actuarial reports related to topics including non-guaranteed elements, standard non-forfeiture requirements, compensation, and illustration regulations
• Maintain actuarial pricing models
• Support technology, legal, and compliance partners
• Communicate and collaborate with external finance areas such as ORMCA, I&AG Investments, and I&AG Finance
• Support AMN’s distribution partners both internal wholesalers and external brokers
• Communicate financial results to senior management
• Assist in AMN’s earnings review and analysis
Qualifications:
• High professional integrity
• FSA with minimum of 5 years work experience
• Pricing experience and/or life product knowledge
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to build strong relationships
• Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong technical and analytical skills -- financial modeling skills required, knowledge of Prophet preferred
