Job TitleAdvisory Business Process Analyst (Automation)
The Advisory Business Process Analyst (Automation) is a key role that provides the foundation required to deliver full and accurate automated solutions.
The role identifies business process for automation, performs a vital requirement gathering function, and is an essential knowledge and communication asset to a Blue Prism team.
What does a great Advisory Business Process Analyst (Automation) do?
• Perform Software opportunity assessments to identify and prioritize business processes that are potential candidates for automation.
• Fully and clearly document business processes to the granular level of detail that is required for software automation program.
• Create, or help the process owner to create, user acceptance test (UAT) documents, identifying all the process scenarios and their expected outcomes.
• Work closely with software developers to understand and assist with the creation of their solution design, ensuring they deliver a solution that meets the business requirements.
• Acting as a central point of knowledge and control for business processes, communicating with the developers, subject matter experts (SMEs) and the business process owners to answer any queries that arise during the development and testing of an automated solution.
Basic qualifications for consideration:
• Minimum 7+ years professional experience in IT or a related field
• Strong experience with requirements gathering, to capture business processes.
• Demonstrated experience gathering requirements , to capture business processes using both existing process documentation and process walkthroughs with the staff performing the process.
• Ability to travel up to 50%
Additional skills preferred:
• Experience working automation technologies a plus (e.g. Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or UiPath
• Bachelors degree or previous experience of business processes is preferable, to aid a quick understanding of new processes the require evaluation.
• Good inter-personal communication skills, communicating with subject matter experts, business process owners, and the Blue Prism development team to help ensure the automated solution is correct.
• Good written skills with the ability to produce clear, detailed and accurate documentation. Prior experience of using flow diagrams would be beneficial.
• An enquiring mind, the process analyst will be needed to analyze and question existing processes to ensure a full and correct understanding is gained.
• Ability to take a strategic, transformational point of view on the position
