The Payer Analyst will be responsible for coordinating internally and externally the implementation of new payers through both direct connections and clearinghouse partnerships for all HIPAA transactions. This position will also be the escalation path for all existing payers and respective issues.
Core Responsibilities:
• Specify payer connectivity requirements
• Specify payer validation edits
• Support specification of payer edits
• Specify payer enrollment requirements
• Assist with payer enrollment
• Specify provider enrollment requirements
• Internal escalation path for payer related issues
Special Knowledge and Skills:
• X12 transaction knowledge with a focus on:

◦ 835
◦ 276/277
◦ 270/271
◦ 278
• Payer/Provider Enrollment process
• Payer EDI process
• Experience writing and reviewing business, technical, and user non-functional/system level requirements
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma / Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 4 years Health EDI with a focus on the 837/835 transaction
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and execute tasks.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Flexible, able to respond quickly to changes in project scope or timescales.
• Self-driven and highly motivated to be a high performing trusted resource within the organization.
• Proficient with tracking and managing multiple projects working with a variety of cross-functional resources (multi-tasking and prioritizing skills).
