Prudential’s IT organization, Global Business and Technology Solutions (GBTS) is seeking an Cloud Automation Specialist to work in Roseland, NJ. This exciting position will offer a qualified candidate the opportunity to be a part of, and help build a greenfield Cloud Operations practice for a Fortune 50 enterprise. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, has passion for technology, and a desire to provide outstanding customer service.
The primary responsibility of the position will be to drive the automated delivery of both cloud native and hybrid operational services by collaborating with partners in Corporate IT and our perspective lines of businesses.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must be able to:
• Automate processes/code in Python, Ruby, Go, node.js, JavaScript, or another modern language.
• Automate delivery of both cloud native and hybrid services offered to our lines of businesses.
• Create Infrastructure as Code solutions utilizing tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
• Leverage configuration management/image management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Packer, etc. to administer an AWS AMI lifecycle.
• Manage CICD Pipeline Toolsets such as Jenkins to codify build and release processes
• Consume/have literacy using source code repositories such as Bitbucket, GitHub, Artifactory, etc.
• Successfully collaborate across various technology disciplines.
• Help evangelize IT best practices and trends including tech ops, cloud, automation, devops, etc.
• AWS/Linux admin experience a plus.
The qualifications include:
• Minimum 1 years related current experience.
• Ability to work with ambiguous and abstract concepts, as the candidate will often have to resolve complex customer inquiries.

• Ability to process new concepts and technologies quickly, has an appetite for learning.

• Ability to provide 7x24x365 on call support required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related technical field.
