Job Description Summary
Responsible for assisting manager in producing and managing ad-hoc reporting and requests relating to the bank's financials and Corporate FP&A needs as well as managing the budgeting and forecasting process for the bank. This includes requests relating to the annual expense and capital budget process, periodic reporting of the actual and budget results a, and forecasting for the total bank and parent company, in GAAP and IAS
Essential Job Functions
• Understand the financial and management reporting requirements of the bank in GAAP and IAS and produce reports and address requests in a timely manner ensuring accuracy and quality of information.
• Produces and performs review and evaluation of reporting including actual financial performance compared to budget and prior year of the total bank and individual business units.
• Partner with Divisions within the Business Unit in support of FP&A activities.
• Ensures the integration of the budgeting and planning data and with general ledger for monthly reporting of actual against budget.
• Implements and manages phases of the annual budgeting process assuring accuracy of communications to all affected Division/Department Heads.
• Leads or participates in system implementation and process improvement projects; e.g. implementation of planning and cost allocation modules of Oracle’s System 9 product (essbase).
• Assists with the integration of acquired entities into the unit profitability reporting and budgeting processes.
• Assist manager and Executives in facilitating effective reporting for immediate and/or ad-hoc needs.
• Coordinate the execution of requests with various bank personnel, as required.
• Assist the Corporate FP&A Reporting function and other teams during non-busy period.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree- Required
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration - Preferred
• Requires mastery level knowledge of job area typically obtained through education combined with experience. Experience in project management, ad-hoc requests, managing multiple requests required.
• Requires 10 years minimum prior relevant experience.
• Complete knowledge of financial analysis and principles of economics of financial and cost accounting.
• Complete knowledge of financial institution balance sheet, profit and loss and analysis techniques
• Working knowledge of GAAP and IAS accounting issues as they relate to the banking industry.
