Business Overview:
Global Markets – IT & Operations (GM ITO) is part of the value proposition of the business. Drive is at the heart of Global Markets, contributing to alignment between FO and ITO, playing the role of the architects (end-to-end) of the Global Markets Value Chain
The GMA ITO Solutions DRIVE Business Enhancement team is building its organization and looking for permanent experienced and senior resources to manage key activity initiatives as coordinator for ITO and Arbitrage Finance representative for Global Markets TAC/NACs. We are looking at on-boarding permanent people with good functional knowledge, both on the business aspect and the BNPP environment.
Responsibilities:
• Participate and contribute to various TAC, NAC and PIR (post implementation reviews) coordination for ITO.
• Represent IT and Operations for GM across business lines and regions (US/EMEA/APAC) as well as Arbitrage Finance (specific mandate) at Global Market TAC/NAC Committees,
• The key interactions are with FO (the structuring / sales / trading teams), the business management, Compliance, Risks, Operations, IT, Tax and Finance
• Analyze the impact on the various functional departments and propose an optimal work flow where required.
• Ensure all stakeholders are involved in the preparation activities.
• Coordinate/facilitate all communication between teams with regard to the new product implementation.
• Coordinate/facilitate all communication between teams with regard to the new trade type implementation (TAC coordinator for ITO).
• Assist the business in the design and review of their new structures and exceptional trades and represent ITO and Arbitrage Finance during approval committees within Global Markets
• Participate and act as a Partner with the Business in designing any new trade structure and new activity to ensure the proposed booking model is fully reviewed and vetted by all functions e.g Trade Support, Product Control, Collateral Operations, PAC, RRC, Tax/GTD/ Finance etc.
Contribute to the building of maximum efficiency within the Firm:
• Analyze the current procedures and make change proposals to improve productivity, efficiency and risk control.
• Work closely with the Operations and IT managers to properly measure the impact of new systems/processes on the staff's workload and determine the new staffing requirements where applicable.
Contribute to the successful implementation of new systems:
• Work with various users to clearly identify business requirements – from Front Office to Finance.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure that the system functionalities meet the user requirements.
• Propose procedural changes to take advantage of the new system functionalities.
Facilitate the planning between IT and users to ensure all phases of the project are on track and that the appropriate level of testing is carried out.
Minimum Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of Operations experience (functional or in a project capacity), with specific experience and knowledge of products and trade processing flows and settlement processes.
• 5+ years of experience working with trade flow (front to back) is critical. Deep knowledge of at least one flow is desired.
• 5+ years of experience working with project management concepts, with a focus on documentation experience (business requirements, process flows, procedures, GAP analysis).
• 5+ years of experience working with MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred qualifications:
• A keen to ‘Process and Risk’ awareness is a KEY CRITERIA for this position.
• Needs to demonstrate the ability to adapt and learn new processes quickly.
• Need to show ability to multi-task and shift gears for various topics and perimeter during the project life cycle (i.e. Knowledge of FO Products and processes, Operations, IT, Finance etc.).
• Knowledge of the project life cycle and what each phase implies is valuable.
• Business Analyst experience is valuable.
• Ideally candidate can be an SME but not a mandate.
• Experience and exposure to Regulatory Reporting is a Huge Plus.
• Display ability to navigate discussions related to IT topics (phases of project cycle, business requirements, specifications etc.) is CRITICAL.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to delve into complicated situations (issues, people, processes etc.), sort out the information and propose the solution/next steps.
• Must be able to professionally and efficiently manage situations of conflict and work with collaborators to arrive at a solution.

• Previous exposure and knowledge of FO to Finance processing chains in an equity or fixed income derivatives environment
• Organised and delivery-focused, with attention to detail
• Comfortable operating with a strong level of autonomy in general
• Pro-active in general, proposing or taking own initiatives to prevent risks/issues
• Ability to work well under pressure and take initiative
• Solid work ethic and high level of motivation.
