Responsibilities
• Assist in developing work plans and coordinating daily fieldwork and project team activities
• Collaborate with project planning and staff scheduling to ensure leverage of resources
• Utilize tracking tools to measure project progress, benefits provided to clients, and achievement of budget expectations
• Actively participate in billing of clients and keeping up with WIP reports
• Assists clients in managing their FAR, CAS, and DCAA compliance initiatives
• Assists clients in drafting compliance inquiry responses to regulatory parties
• Support clients with incurred cost submissions, calculating forward pricing rates, indirect cost structures
• Assists clients with CAS disclosure statements, government billing, and close
• Utilize advanced Excel and data management skills (v-lookups, pivot tables, macros, etc) to help clients with budgeting and planning
• Help to review requirements to identify client needs regarding accounting policies and procedures, consolidations and inter-company accounting
• Lead thought leadership discussions for market prospects and internal staff alike
• Participate in networking events and recruiting events for the Government Contracts Advisory team and DHG
• Lead and support sales and business development proposals and initiatives
• Support other Government Contracting consulting engagements performed by the practice

Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years of experience in government contract compliance required, preferably in a public accounting or consulting environment
• CPA certification preferred
• Pertinent certification required
• Prior experience in working directly for or with DCAA is preferable
• Progressive experience and strong knowledge of FAR, CAS, JTR, SCA and DFARS is essential
• Working knowledge of FAR requirement and practical experience with at least two of the following contractor business systems: Accounting, Billing, Procurement, Property, Estimating and Budgeting systems is required
• Specific experience with software capabilities for applications such as Deltek or other software applications including experience in system conversion and/or new system implementation
• Experience in working accounting issues and CAS applicability and application to specific business processes
• Fast learner with attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Travel required
• BS of Accounting degree is preferred, other business degrees or significant work experience in Government contracting will be considered
