ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Responsibilities include ongoing budget portfolio support, completing deliverables, and ad-hoc client support.
• This includes budget data analysis and briefing development in support of senior client personnel.
• This position operates in a highly collaborative, client-facing, environment with interactions with all levels of government personnel and other contractor teams daily.
• Will be working on various the Federal Planning, Programming, and Budget and Execution (PPBE) process or with federal budget data analysis and briefing creation.
• Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
• Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Qualifications
• Experience in Federal PPBE processes and the federal budget lifecycle.
• Experience in government consulting; recent experience with Department of Veterans Affairs preferred.
• Comfortable working with and presenting to senior leadership, managers, budget staff and external stakeholders.
• The ideal candidate must be a consummate team player, with experience working in a collaborative environment, including relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Able to develop concise and accurate data analysis and clearly communicate findings.
• Able to meet tight deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
• Flexible and able to deal with competing priorities, multi-tasking.
• Able to creatively solve problems and find solutions to challenges.
• Expert in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Business Intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableau) experience preferred; Excel VBA experience preferred.
• Experience working with a budget tracking tool or equivalent Excel based budgeting systems.
• Federal IT or Health Policy experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
• U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
• Travel may be required.
• Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
• Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
• Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
