Position summary:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for directing management and employees through all phases of the employee life cycle including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and terminations.
Responsibilities:
• Communicates and manages various human resources plans, policies, and procedures for assigned organizations
• Provides expert consultation to managers on performance management including managing and tracking performance management actions
• Handles all employee relations concerns and escalates as needed depending on level of risk
• Manages the termination process including conducting exit interviews and reporting back
• Assists with compensation evaluations, including eligible salary adjustments/increases and wage discrepancies
• Determines internal transfer eligibility and support transfer process end-to-end
• Supports HRBP team and HR leadership as needed for special projects and program implementation
• Assists with reporting analysis, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals
• Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve increase process efficiencies of processes and procedures
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree and 3+ of HR experience, or similar combination of education and experience
• General knowledge of human resources functions
• General business acumen in financial services
• Extensive knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite) and computer hardware
• Ability to establish and manage relationships with line-managers and provide required consultation
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and documentation
• Strong sense of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of human resources information
• Must exhibit sense of urgency and initiative while maintaining attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks from multiple sources
• Ability to grasp concepts and re-apply that information in similar situations
• Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team
