Description
Position Goals:
Provide website and social media administration with primary support of online marketing and communications, e-commerce, customer service, business development, online community and social media, web workflows, user experience, reporting and analytics.

Under the general direction of the Director, Marketing

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Serve as lead digital marketing strategist by collaborating with internal and external resources to synthesize marketing campaigns and initiatives, recommending digital best practices for optimal results and client experience.
2. Provide strategic leadership and execution for website, social media and marketing digital tools supporting lead generation activities and client experience.
3. Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
4. Measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing channels and initiatives.
5. Act as the expert regarding www.firstmerchants.com application. Provide website governance to ensure content compliance, following established procedures, Americans With Disabilities (ADA) Compliance Guidelines, and branding/style guidelines. Manage the separate ADA monitoring contract, providing documented quarterly updates.
6. Serve as the primary website and social media advocate, expert and stay abreast of best practices.
7. Own and manage social media content, manage brand awareness and oversee the online reputation with the primary goal of driving engagement through the First Merchants website.
8. Evaluate emerging technologies and perspective for adoption. Identify trends and insights.
9. Plan, manage and execute experiments and tests.
10. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize user experience across website, social media and other online applications.
11. Manage, evaluate and optimize conversion and user funnels.
12. Responsible for monitoring and generating reports. Provide on-going proactive learnings and optimization opportunities for team members by actively using Google Analytics and other analytical tools.

Requirements
Position Requirements:
Education - Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field of study.
Experience - Over five (5) years of related marketing experience.
Other - None
Preferred Requirements:
• Excellent understanding of digital marketing including search engine marketing and social media.
• Fundamental knowledge of web development including HTML and CSS.
• Competence and experience with content management systems.
• Knowledge of web analytics tools and reporting. Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to turn data and insights into online marketing initiatives.
• Ecommerce experience.
• Excellent copywriting/editing skills.
• Knowledge of Mobile and Responsive Design.
• Clear understanding of how social media channels work on mobile devices.
