The position will monitor and supervise tax return technology processing and e-filing processes, as well as support and implement workflow efficiencies. This role is also responsible for coordinating and executing tax technology processing practices within an office or geography, including e-filing, collating, assembly, scanning, maintenance and support of ProFX and monitoring tax control logs and reports. May serve as point of contact for implementation of tax technology processing workflow and provide workflow guidance and training to other tax processing specialists. This role is a working supervisor.
Essential Duties:
• Perform and supervise E-filing tax returns and extensions, monitor acceptance, handle rejections; run daily reports in order to ensure that returns are filled on or before the deadline. Develop and implement E-filing procedures and update as needed
• Serve as tax program champion for maintenance and support of ProFx by rolling over returns annually, managing user accounts, performing backup and restores of locators, assist tax professionals by answering questions and working with vendor to resolve issues
• Supervise Tax administrative staff and Tax Assembly Specialists with the scanning process for DOTT
• Assist with managing tax processing workflow in the department, assist with assembly as needed
• Maintain workflow database, request log and tax tracking database for proper control of all tax returns
• Running tax processing daily billing reports
• Train and guide other tax processing specialists as required. Serve as a Career Advisor
• Other duties as assigned
Education:
• Associates Degree or equivalent experience (required)
Experience:
• 4-7 years of related experience (required)
Technical Skills:
• Experience utilizing office technical tools, including office scanners, printers, label machines and copiers (required)
• Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (required)
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of the technology tools required within assigned responsibilities (required)
• Effective organization and time management skills (required)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks (required)
• Strong attention to detail (required)
• Ability to provide feedback and guidance to other team members (required)
