Position TitleSr. Manager - Servicing Transfers

Job SummaryThe Sr Manager, Servicing Transfers will be responsible for the execution and monitoring of all activities related to onboarding loans (retail, third party or bulk acquisitions) as well as service release, including implementation of tools to support boarding, as required. They will coach and develop a team of specialists to ensure they are individually capable of managing, monitoring and communicating with transferee and transferor servicers This individual will work directly with internal business units (origination, servicing, legal, accounting, marketing and customer service) and technology teams for the refinement and implementation of end to end processes to support the boarding plan, as well as be a key contributor to process and system enhancements to support transfer delivery. The Sr. Manager collaborates with all business units (origination, servicing, legal, accounting, marketing and customer service) and technology teams for the implementation and successful execution of all transfer-related end to end processes.
Job Responsibilities:
• 30% of time) Coach, direct and support team to execute flow and bulk boarding transfers using ELI, BKFS and supporting tools. Perform administrative functions including direct management of team, expense monitoring, and reporting.
• (20% of time) Coordinate and execute weekly timelines, data delivery, issue resolutions, risk management and quality assurance while working with up to 10 different transferee servicing partners to initiate and complete transfers (up to 8-12 new & ongoing flow & amp; bulk transfers per week) while meeting our minimum quality standards.
• (10% of time) Implement, oversee and execute scorecard within the full servicing transfer and loan boarding team members to assess production and quality of all transfer data by performing daily reconciliation for each trial and final boarding.
• (20% of time) Implement, support and guide servicing business units and transaction partners (capital markets, legal, records & collateral, vendors, etc.) on operational requirements within the purchase & sale agreement and servicing transfer instructions.
• (20% of time) Implement technology and processes to ensure growth of servicing portfolio can be met. Designing and coding near term SQL, Access or similar database solutions to drive and sustain quality and evaluate long-term tool selection and implementation strategies to continue and support current and projected transfers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Complete all required compliance training. Maintain knowledge of and adhere to Flagstar's internal compliance policies and procedures. Take responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.
Job Requirements:
• 7+ years of servicing transfer experience and working with serving partners in the mortgage industry or 10+ years of comparable work experience.
• 5+ years’ experience managing teams, including mentoring and proven leadership
• HS Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred (Technology, Business Administration, Economic or Financial)
• 2+ years SQL, Access or comparable database is required
• MSP/BKFS experience preferred
• Experience working with COBOL solutions strongly preferred
• Ability to establish critical timelines and effectively drive team and business unit efforts to meet deadline expectations.
• Clear communication and process direction to ensure timelines are met, and challenges adapted to within schedule and budget
• Strong customer-facing communication skills
• Technical strength - database creation and administration, system troubleshooting, data expertise
• Has business acumen and understands operational implications of decisions
• Self-starter, self-directed, influential, articulate and ability to distill complex information into easily understandable content to communicate to team, transferor/ee servicers and MSR owners
• Team player with the ability to create structure and coordinate a variety of team member work styles to execute activities at a high level of quality and skill.
• Exhibits objectivity and openness to others’ views, shares and welcomes feedback, contributes to a positive team spirit and puts success of team above own interests.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain confidential information
• Expertise using Excel, Word, Adobe, PowerPoint or equivalent presentation software
• Travel Requirements: (10% OF TIME SPENT AWAY FROM HOME OFFICE)
