Summary of Role
Responsible for evaluating and mitigating risk for all changes, enhancement, and releases of technology by the Information Technology team. Ensures appropriate testing is performed for all changes based on the thresholds and methodologies of the Quality Assurance Team. Manages an internal team of technology professionals and oversees outsourced groups with diverse skill sets and backgrounds to ensure the team consistently provides excellent risk mitigation and testing.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
• Develops and drives a high-level QA strategy, as well as takes a hands-on approach to implementing that strategy.
• Ensures risks are evaluated for all technology releases and changes and that appropriate testing occurs to mitigate the risks with the highest likelihood of occurring and that have the greatest impact.
• Leads the effort to define, select, and implement effective and efficient testing and service management processes, documentation, tools and testing methodologies; and developing quality assurance standards.
• Establishes collaborative workingrelationships with Portfolio Management, Business Analysts, Development, ITSM, and Business Teams
• Serves as independent reviewer of project documentation to ensure technology systems meet customer requirements and work according to documented specifications.
• Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
• Plans, organizes, and monitors the execution of work assignments for the Quality Assurance Team
• Identifies and addresses staff training and development needs.
• Conducts interviews, makes hiring decisions, provides salary recommendations, develops employees, develops work plans, and conducts performance evaluations.
• Measure and monitor overall service performance for each of the service/process areas
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to communicate with cross-functional development teams.
• Ability to develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders at all levels and with third party suppliers
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Extensive experience in developments and trends related to use of Information Technology (IT); able to apply this knowledge appropriately to benefit and increase the efficiency of operations, products and services.
• Expert level knowledge and experience in applying, improving and directing others on successful negotiation concepts and techniques; able to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors in a constructive and collaborative manner.
• Expert level knowledge and experience in applying, improving and directing others in service process improvement tools and techniques and is able to understand, monitor, update, or enhance existing business or work processes.
• Expert level knowledge of and experience with using a structured methodology for delivering new or enhanced software products to the marketplace.
• Expert level knowledge of and ability to apply Quality Assurance processes, tools, and techniques to ensure a high level of quality in software products and systems
• Extensive experience in developments and trends related to planning, organizing, monitoring, and controlling projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources, creating and managing project plans to achieve project objectives.
• Working experience with performing tasks and identifying efficiencies related to approaches, tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing, and resolving technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems.
• Expert level knowledge and experience in applying, improving and directing others in initiating and facilitating organizational change and transformation.
Required Experience, Qualifications & Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related
• 6-8 years’ minimum experience in quality assurance, service improvement, process development and/or direct project management experience.
• Experience in quality models such as ISO and Total Quality Management (TQM)
• Experience testing enterprise level applications including ERP, CRM, Workflow, and E-Commerce Platforms.
• Experience managing direct reports and working with senior management
• Experience in a broad range of enterprise applications
