GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
This position will manage a team and processes within the Business Analysis area. S/he will manage the coordination and collaboration of business stakeholders and assigned team(s) to define, develop and validate more complex business solutions that meet the needs, goals and objectives for the company and team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Development
• Establishes and implements individual and team priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure completion of responsibility for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent.
• Manages and evaluates individual/team performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards.
• Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality.
• Manages assigned area(s) of responsibility to ensure workloads are appropriately balanced among team members.
• Ensures that top talent is hired and retained for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Builds organizational capability within his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Manages a team and processes for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Consultation and Analysis
• Serves as a resource to team members and internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects.
• Acts as a resource between area of responsibility and appropriate stakeholders to ensure more complex business requirements, needs and solutions are effectively communicated and understood by all parties.
• Consults with internal and/or external stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Collaborates with internal and/or external stakeholders and management to assess, select and recommend more complex solutions and/or alternative approaches that will achieve business goals.
• Collaborates effectively with appropriate stakeholders on more complex issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality and risk of assigned projects.
• Collaborates and/or manages the collaboration of key internal and/or external stakeholders to elicit more complex business issues, determine root cause(s), and capture business needs.
• Determines and recommends the most appropriate response to identified more complex problems, issues and/or defects by assessing impact and prioritization.
Organizational Effectiveness
• Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
• Manages and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
Oversees and/or validates that the solution meets the business need.
• Facilitates changes to the organization through the more complex analysis, design and implementation of the business processes that achieve business objectives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) in Computer Science (Minimum Required)
• 5+ Years’ experience in business analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position, including 2+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience (Required)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
• Travel Type: National Domestic
• Travel Amount: up to 25%
