The Specialist, Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics, has responsibility on an account/platform for data, reporting and analytics processes that touch all aspects of service delivery to be consistent with corporate standards. The role is critical to the success of the client relationship in driving performance management, process improvement and innovation thru fact-based decision making. Growing analytics capability is an essential deliverable, and direct or indirect management of analyst deliverables may be expected. This position provides an opportunity to work in a broad range of areas related to a global real estate portfolio, including: facility management and building operations, energy management, leasing, project management, and real estate portfolio planning.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
• Designing data integration from multiple systems into manageable data warehouses into analytic data models.
• Writing relational and multidimensional database SQL queries
• Devising and promoting creative data visualizations to derive actionable intelligence
• Developing automated tools and dashboards using MS SQL Server and BI Visualizations tools such as Tableau to provide real-time insights to business data
• Developing an understanding of all functional aspects of JLL client service offerings and its underlying data
• Debugging, monitoring and troubleshooting existing BI solutions and visualizations
• Regularly communicating with other BI Team members, JLL Management, and client Management
• Promoting and enabling the import and export of best practices to and from the account, and link the account to emerging practices in the industry and the BI/data fields.
• Promoting success powerfully, such that our client recognizes the value of your work.
• Using advanced statistical concepts to determine significant sources of process or business function variability
Job Specifications:
• Communication - Excellent presentation skills (verbal and written), Strong understanding of analytic/statistical concepts with the ability to explain them to others
• Process Improvement - Committed to continuous improvement through empowerment and management by data; is willing to re-engineer processes from scratch.
• Client Management - Understanding client needs and setting and managing appropriate client expectations within system, project, or contract constraints all while providing exceptional and enhanced customer service.
• Team-building -Key stakeholder and collaborators are geographically dispersed. Getting results from ad hoc groups of disparate people is critical.
• Flexibility - We need to understand regional/cultural/contextual differences and allow for local expression without compromising global coherence.
Qualifications / Requirements:
• 4 to 6 years working experience as a BI Developer / Analyst
• Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
• Understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
• Experience with BI visualization tools and technologies (e.g. Tableau, Microsoft Power BI)
• Knowledge and experience writing, editing, and working with SQL queries and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
• Proven ability to take initiative and be innovative
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
• Ability and desire to learn and understand all functional aspects of JLL client service offerings.
• Commercial Real Estate and Facilities Management Industry experience is preferred, but not necessary
• Local language to country of job posting required. As JLL is a global company, additional language capability is a plus.
• BS/BA in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
