Equifax is searching for an Open API Sr. Director Product Management who can identify, define and deliver Equifax data and insights backed APIs thru a common framework using flexible and open technology that enable speed and innovation for our customers and will accelerate our ability to leverage new business channels/opportunities and create added business value.
To support this vision, we are focusing on open web-based technologies, including Cloud, and leveraging the eco-system of API enabling technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the Product Strategy for Open APIs enabling access to valued EFX data and insights to our customers globally.
• Understand strategic and competitive position in the marketplace through customer interaction and market research.
• Analyze landscape to identify business opportunities and make product/partner recommendations.
• Define product roadmap including authentication, API framework, governance and regulatory standards, monitoring, sandbox, and developer portal
• Develop pricing strategy and operational framework for internal and external integration
• Partner with Technology to drive both technical architecture and delivery of product roadmap
• Drive sales enablement in partnership with Marketing and Sales
• Drive the development and approval process of required business case(s) in support of the strategy.
• Leads efforts in developing product and product line strategies, directions and recommendations as input to overall company planning process.
• Provides business planning guidance and counsel to senior management to support overall company objectives and communicates with other internal groups.
• Define, monitor and analyze metrics that inform the success of APIs.
Experience Required:
• 5+ years of experience in financial services and credit (global market experience preferred) with deep knowledge and passion for APIs
• 4 - 7 years of progressive, related work experience in technical product management with focus on APIs is preferred.
• Business acumen and software/technology engineering or a related field
• Ability to think strategically and analytically coupled with strong written communication skills
• Highly collaborative work style with the ability to positively negotiate, influence others and maintain effective business relationships
• Strong Product Management skills and project management skills with a focus on pragmatic solutions and project execution.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with peers, managers, and senior management within and across organizational lines.
• Demonstrated abilities interacting with technical, business and executive personnel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as, strong product planning skills
• Adjust well to changing situations (e.g., different management styles, new methods, systems and procedures) and priorities within the business and the marketplace
• Experience working directly with customers, technology vendors and business partners.
Education requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in technology with MBA or related experience preferred
